Blood Bank Refrigerators

Blood bank refrigerators are our most important products, they are subject to the Medical Product Law.

In order to guarantee even higher safety and quality of our appliances, Kirsch is certified according to ISO 13485. This certificate proves the conformity to the relevant specifications in the manufacture of medical products. Each BL model offers numerous KIRSCH innovations as standard equipment. Manufactured according to DIN 13277.

Our medical devices, the KIRSCH Blood Bank Refrigerators and Blood Plasma Freezers, meet all legal requirements and have been certified according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) since March 2022. The certification was carried out by the notified body mdc medical device certification GmbH (CE0483).

By obtaining MDR certification for our blood cooling devices and therefore fulfilling all strict requirements , we are contributing to the better protection of public health and patient safety.

BUILT ACCORDING TO DIN 13277

In accordance with DIN 13277, blood bags are stored at a temperature of +4°C. The integrated alarm system prevents the temperature from falling below the factory-set lower warning limit of +2°C. Every KIRSCH blood bank refrigerator is equipped as standard with an electronic control, monitoring and alarm system, a minimum/maximum temperature memory, an RJ45 interface, and a potential-free contact for connection to a central monitoring system.
