Mobile network operators are planning to gradually phase out the 2G network (GSM) in Germany by 2028 and across Europe by 2030. Devices that rely on this technology for data transmission may no longer be usable afterwards, or only to a limited extent.
This particularly affects the KIRSCH GSM module, which was designed for data transmission via the 2G network. Once the network has been switched off, this module will no longer be able to establish a connection. As a result, alarm notifications and temperature transmissions will no longer function reliably.
KIRSCH Datalogs are not affected by this change, as they do not use a GSM module. Nevertheless, we recommend reviewing existing systems now and switching to modern, future-proof solutions in good time.
With the KIRSCH EVOLUTION CLOUD, we offer a future-proof solution for the digital monitoring of your refrigeration units:
- continuous temperature recording
- automatic documentation
- alarm notifications in the event of deviations
- access to data from anywhere
- secure storage of all temperature logs
This allows you to meet requirements for quality assurance, documentation and product safety reliably and conveniently.
